It’s not just a one-sized fits all formula that makes radically changes to your body. Over the past year I have made some huge changes in my life to feel my best.

Consistency, weight training and nutrition.

BEFORE: No routine, under-fueling myself, lack of vegetables, not enough water.

  • I really THOUGHT I was getting enough steps into the day. In reality, I wasn’t expending enough energy for my body to burn the amount of food I was consuming…that means I wasn’t in a calorie deficit.

  • After I started getting on my feet more, I was constantly on the go with no structure in my meals, or enough food. I ended up drowning in pain and lack of energy. I wasn’t fueling myself enough!

  • I didn't stick to one routine long enough (6-8 weeks minimum) to see an impact on my health or waistline. NOR was I eating my daily greens or enough water. That needed to change....

  • So much back pain and not enough strength training encouraged me to develop the Camp 45 training plan with a variety of CORE TRAINING....this continues to help keep back pain to a minimum.

  • Learning to listen to my body when it needed fuel meant I was bringing so much more energy to my workouts and my job.

  • Cooking can be simple! I started capturing the recipes I used with the items already in my fridge/pantry.

  • Portion sizes can be easy to follow without tracking my macros.

  • Different foods go best at different times of the day.

  • Activity level MATTERS: Moving around (aside from workouts) getting over 10K steps was a huge part of my composition change (we’ll discover our NEAT in the Eat to Fuel Guide).

  • Hydration helps you stay lean-even when you feel full, getting over 80-100floz of water is KEY to helping your nutrients do their thang for your hard earned muscle.

  • REST! I started sleeping better and letting my body recover which helped me perform and have more successful workouts-obviously resulting in greater muscle gains and definition.

Question: Why Eat to Fuel? 

Most of us do not eat enough after breaking our muscles down so much from workouts, we forget that it takes food to restore and build them back up during the rest period (biggest period of growth). When I was younger, I never realized why I was tired all the time. Playing travel softball meant up to 60 games per summer (sometimes 7 on one weekend!). It’s no wonder, I continued this pattern of overworking and UNDERfueling myself. Sheer willpower and caffein alone won’t fix your energy levels. Most men and women believe, that in order to lose weight, we must simply cut calories...but we must care for our body’s as if they were luxury cars-full gas tank and quality fuel!

That’s how the name came to be. I want you to feel strong during your workouts, so you can give 100% instead of getting off work and getting a half-assed 30 minutes in. Depending on your lifestyle, I’ll help you gain an adequate amount of fuel and time those meals for optimal results.  


Question: What exactly is the Fuel Guide? 

Answer: The Eat to Fuel Guide is a method of eating to energize the body for an active lifestyle. It is also a recipe book, including 40 recipes that use ingredients you’ll likely find on your weekly grocery list (budget friendly!) It does not require you to track macros or count calories-BUT it will teach you how to calculate your daily calorie needs for those who want that option. We’ll focus on the quality of our ingredients, and structuring our plate based on anytime vs. post-workout. The guide uses convenient portions per macro-type and hunger-cues in order to help you fuel up for your workouts, as well as burn fat/gain muscle or maintain based on each person’s goals.  Eating to Fuel the body has helped my husband lose about 20lbs this year and continues to help me reveal muscle definition, and have enough energy to live a very active lifestyle. 

Question: Do I HAVE to exercise to see results from the Eat to Fuel Guide?
Answer: Nope. The guide will teach you approximately how many calories you’re expending per day, how much your body needs to sustain life (blinking, sitting, reading, working). The guide does include how you can make changes faster, while also giving your more energy. Exercise doesn’t have to be one thing and I’ll give you the creative space to brainstorm what makes you think of an active lifestyle, and what makes you happiest and most energized.

Question: Will you provide how much food to eat each day or is the guide just general?
Answer: -I give you the exact calculation personal trainers and nutritionists use to calculate your exact Total Daily Fuel Needs, and I give you options of how to tweak it based on your lifestyle, your goals, and your own experience Ex: losing fat, gaining muscle, or maintaining body composition.

Question: Can I use this with intermittent fasting, carb cycling or Keto? 
Answer:
Yes! Absolutely. You will learn so much from this guide and you can fit all the meals into your preferred style of eating. This guide was developed out a need to share quick/easy recipes with you. When I started writing the recipes, I realized that I had such a passion for explaining WHY your body responds so well to energy. Thus, the first half of the guide will teach you all about your body’s metabolism, and which quality fuel types (food) fall into which macronutrient category (it’s a little more complex than you think!)
